Brainmonger LLC ("we", "us", or "our") built the Notary Tracker app to help notary professionals manage their business efficiently. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app collects, how it is used, and your rights regarding that information. By using the app, you agree to the practices described here.
Information We Collect
Notary Tracker collects information you enter directly into the app, including:
- Appointment details (dates, times, types, and notes)
- Client names and contact information
- Location data used solely to calculate mileage for business travel records
- Payment and fee records for appointments
Additionally, Firebase Analytics (provided by Google) may automatically collect anonymized usage data, such as feature interactions, session lengths, and crash reports. This data does not identify you personally and is used only to improve app performance and reliability.
How Your Data Is Stored
All business data you enter — appointments, client information, location-derived mileage, and payment records — is stored locally on your device only. It is not transmitted to our servers or any third-party cloud storage.
How We Use Your Information
- To display and manage your appointments, clients, and payment records within the app
- To calculate mileage based on location data you provide
- To generate reports and summaries for your business records
- To improve app stability and user experience via anonymized analytics
Data Sharing & Third Parties
We do not sell, trade, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing or commercial purposes.
Firebase Analytics, operated by Google LLC, may collect anonymized usage data as described above. Google's privacy practices are governed by the Google Privacy Policy.
Data Retention & Deletion
Your data is stored on your device for as long as you use the app. You can delete all data at any time by uninstalling Notary Tracker from your device. Uninstalling removes all locally stored appointments, client records, and payment information permanently.
Children's Privacy
Notary Tracker is intended for professional use by adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us and we will take appropriate action.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by an updated effective date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
